What this extension does

KYM Venus Web Hands is a companion to the KYM Venus personal AI desktop application. It lets users — particularly older adults and users with motor or vision impairments — operate webpages by voice: click buttons, fill form fields, read pages back aloud, and navigate shopping, pharmacy, and ride-booking flows without a keyboard or mouse.

What data we collect or transmit

We do not operate any remote server that receives your data. Everything the extension does happens on your own computer. Specifically:

• We read the visible DOM (page HTML, form fields, visible text) of the tab you are actively using, only at the moment you speak a voice command, in order to identify the correct element to click or fill.
• We observe and trigger your own clicks, scrolls, and form entries so we can perform the action you requested.
• We store a small set of your own preferences on your machine via chrome.storage.local: favorite shopping sites, preferred pharmacy, default delivery address label, and voice-command aliases you have defined.

The extension communicates only with the KYM Venus desktop app running on the same computer, over a local-only loopback connection. It does not send page contents, browsing history, or any personal data to any third-party server.

What data we do NOT collect

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, age, ID numbers)
• Health information (medical history, symptoms, diagnoses)
• Financial or payment information (credit-card numbers, bank details) — you always enter these yourself into the merchant's own checkout page; the extension never stores or transmits payment credentials
• Authentication information (passwords, security answers, PINs)
• Personal communications (emails, texts, chats)
• Location (GPS, IP-based location)
• Web history (list of URLs you visit is not logged)

Permissions we request and why

• activeTab — only to read the DOM of the tab you are actively viewing at the moment of your voice command.
• scripting — only to run our bundled content.js on the active tab. No remote code.
• tabs — only to know which site is active, so the desktop app can route the spoken command correctly.
• storage — only to remember your own preferences locally on your machine.
• host_permissions <all_urls> — the extension must work on whichever site you choose to use, combined with activeTab so access is scoped to the tab you are actively using.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell, transfer, or share user data with any third party. We do not use user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. We do not use user data for any purpose unrelated to the extension's single stated purpose.

Data retention and deletion

Because no data is sent to any server, there is nothing to delete on our side. To remove the small local preference data the extension stores on your own computer, simply uninstall the extension from Chrome. All chrome.storage.local data is removed automatically on uninstall.

Children

The extension is not directed at or intended for children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change what data the extension handles, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. The policy URL will stay stable at https://venus-landing-wine.vercel.app/privacy.html.
